Josephine V. Ferroli Archives
What is the Josephine V. Ferroli Archives? Simple. It is the life time
collections of Josephine Victoria (Pezzati) Ferroli. Josephine was the daughter
of Italian immigrants Sisto and Cesarina (Opizzi) Pezzati who immigrated to Boston in
1898.
Josephine was born on January 30, 1906 in Boston and in 1927 married Italian immigrant Bruno Ferroli. They had two daughters Patricia and Janet.
Josephine throughout her life had a strong belief in family. She collected and saved the family photographs, books, letters and family papers. She kept the memory of her parents and her ancestry alive through her stories and genealogical research. She preserved her childhood memories and stories of her brothers and sisters in hours of video and audio recordings.
Now all her years of work and preservation is being safe guarded and cataloged. Some of that information will be published here from time to time. Including information on the Pezzati, Opizzi, Ferroli, Repetti and Borre families. Short biographies and histories of family members and photographs will be posted in time.
Josephine's unpublished autobiography, Angels Watching Over Me, detailing her family and early years growing up in Boston in the early 1900s is hoped to be published one day.
